David K. Griest has over 31 years of financial services industry experience and is Penn Liberty Bank’s Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer as well as a member of the Board of Directors. He along with 2 others started Penn Liberty Bank in 2004. He is responsible for all aspects of business and retail banking operations and technology from a day to day and strategic perspective.
Mr. Griest previously served as SVP, Relationship Management, of Aurum Technology, a leading provider of products and services for community banks throughout the United States. His role at Aurum was to manage the eastern region of the national relationship management staff. Prior to that, Mr. Griest served as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Commonwealth Bank where he was responsible for developing and executing the technology strategies for all of Commonwealth’s retail and business channels as well as day to day management for all back-office operational groups including retail and commercial deposits, electronic funds transfer operations, retirement services, facilities, insurance security/loss prevention and call center operations.
Mr. Griest has served as a member of the national STAR ATM/Debit Card Processing Advisory Council, was a member of the national Digital Insight Internet Banking Council and the Technology Task Force for the Pennsylvania Association of Community Bankers. Mr. Griest earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business finance and management from Widener University and an MBA from St. Joseph’s University.
